This new authentic canvas field bag was created in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the CNPS Rare Plant Inventory (est. 1974). The rare Panamint daisy, prominently featured on this 100% cotton field bag, was chosen as the CNPS logo plant in 1968:
“Of the many plants that could have been chosen, these stalwart plants with their splendid flowers, growing under seemingly harsh conditions, stand as a fitting symbol of our society.” – Clifford Schmidt
The Panamint daisy is in the sunflower family and grows to over 3 feet tall with flowering heads that are up to 5 inches in diameter. It is named after the Panamint Range of Death Valley, where it is limited to. To learn more about the Panamint daisy, click here
